Westshore group is led by Eddie Avila and his diverse 40-year track record. Avila got his start in the 70s as Vice-President of Cheezem Development … The company responsible for some of the most groundbreaking high-rises in Miami and the Gulf Coast of Florida… Including the 975-unit Brickell Place, Brickell Key, Crescent Beach Club and South Pointe Towers which ushered in the new era of development to South Beach. More recently, Avila developed Grand Bay Estates on Key Biscayne, Deering Bay, and 396 Alhambra, the premier office tower in Coral Gables. Joining Eddie at AQUA is Jorge Ortega who has led the planning, structuring and development of 600,000+ square feet of residential properties in Florida. Including Il Villagio, the largest condominium in Jacksonville which he co-developed with Avila in the early 2000’s.

For AQUA at Westshore Yacht Club the partnership has taken a global trajectory by joining forces with the multinational conglomerate Wellcot. Dedicated to the comprehensive investment and development of real estate projects throughout the United States, South America, Central America, and the Caribbean, Wellcot has recently developed over 32,000 residences and just finished Brazil Beach a sprawling six tower, crystal lagoon development in Cuiaba Brazil. Wellcot actively participates in all projects and has an active presence in both financing and product definition.

Eddie Avila

CEO and Chairman

 Eddie Avila, one of Florida‘s most distinguished developers with an outstanding 40-year track record. Eddie got his start as Vice-President of Cheezem Development, the company responsible for some of the most iconic high-rises in Miami and the Gulf Coast of Florida including the 975-unit megaproject Brickell Place, Brickell Key, Crescent Beach Club and South Pointe Towers which ushered in the new era of luxury development to South Beach.

Alberto Araya U.

Director

Civil Engineer from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He developed his professional career for 13 years in Salfacorp group. His first years he worked as manager of different construction projects, moving in 1999 to the real estate area of the company where he developed the sales division, positioning Salfacorp among the 4 main real estate companies of the country, and reaching the position of CEO.

He is currently a partner and director of several companies in both the real estate and energy sectors, highlighting among others: Colliers (real estate consulting, investment and RE marketing company), AME (energy project development and management company in Chile and Peru), Unidad leasing, Inmobiliaria Pacífico and BC Genera. He was also the founding partner of the Ucuquer project (Agricultural with more than 8,9000 acres for planting vineyards, avocados, and citrus).

Gastón Escala A.

Director

Director – Former executive and partner at Salfacorp, the largest construction company in Chile and one of the largest in Latam.

Mr Escala has dedicated his career to the development and construction of varied projects in different industries (Construction, Real Estate, Energy and Industrial). He also was President of the Chilean Chamber of Construction between 2010 and 2012, an entity to which he has continued to be related as Director of its holding company ILC and to other related companies. In 2012 he led the successful IPO of ILC, being the largest initial transaction in the Chilean stock market to that date. Gastón is Civil Engineer at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile

Jaime Araya U.

Executive Director

Former CEO in Colliers International Chile between 2008 and 2015. Jaime has participated in a wide range of developments and advisories related to the RE industry. He is Civil Engineer at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

 

Juan Pablo Correa P.

CEO

More than 13 years been involved in different real estate projects in Chile both in the advisory side and from an investor perspective. He was a team member in Credicorp’s Real Estate division and participated in a land-use change project of more than 9,000 acres in Chilean sixth region. Mr. Correa studied Business at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and has an MBA degree in IE, Madrid

Carlos Avila

Marketing Director

Carlos Avila is the co-principal and Creative Director of Key Realty Advisors a firm dedicated exclusively to developer onsite sales, marketing, and consulting. Under his direction, KRA has successfully sold and marketed hundreds of communities throughout the United States and internationally.  Drawing on his unique combination of skills with film, television, and advertising, Avila became a trailblazing figure in the industry…regarded as one of the most nonconformist individuals transitioning real estate advertising from its primitive form to the high concept material seen today. 

He is the recipient of multiple awards including the DBA Marketing Visionary Award in 2005. Avila is also a long-standing member of The Florida Bar.

Patricia Morales

Office Administrator

Patricia “Patty” Morales is the Administrative Executive with 10 years working alongside the executive team. She is responsible for the smooth flow of the team’s operations, in charge of overseeing and managing their corporate office. Prior to joining the team, she was a licensed CAM with over 12 years’ experience in luxury high-rise property management.
